These are the words that best describe the spirits crafted at A.R. Whitehead and Son Distillery.  Established in 2021, owner Andy Whitehead and son Griffin Whitehead have been working to perfect the spirits they make following Colonial American traditions established in Pennsylvania hundreds of years ago.  All of the products are produced from Pennsylvania grains grown by Pennsylvania farmers.  The aged spirits are stored in Pennsylvania made oak barrels.  We are bringing the spirit of locally made spirits back to Pennsylvania!

Our award winning limoncello is handcrafted in small batches using vodka as the base spirit. The vodka is then naturally flavored with lemon zest from hand-peeled lemons. This process takes about a month from start to finish, and once completed, provides the limoncello with its distinctive lemony aroma. A special simple syrup is then added to give this cordial its distinctive sweet flavor. Limoncello can be enjoyed by itself, or combined with any number of different mixers to make a unique cocktail experience.

This can be enjoyed by itself, or can be used to make an assortment of mixed drinks that call for vodka as the base spirit such as a Vodka Martini or Cosmopolitan.

After that, the mash is distilled and barreled in virgin, charred oak barrels that are produced in Pennsylvania. The bourbon is then allowed to age so that its full color and aroma emerge from the aging process. Our bourbon can be enjoyed on its own or combined with any number of mixers where bourbon is the base spirit such as a Manhattan or Old Fashioned.
